Football Squares is a simple pick-a-box game. Claim a square before kickoff, watch the live score update, and win when the final digit of each team's score lands on your square at the end of each quarter. The halftime winner is based on the score at the end of Q2, and the final winner is based on the score when the game is complete.
Hosts can create a board, set pricing and payouts, invite players, track payments, post pool rules, and follow quarter winners as the scoreboard updates. Players can join from an invite link, choose open squares, keep an eye on payment status, and use chat during the game.
The board has 100 squares. After all boxes are filled, the host randomizes which team appears on the top and left sides and assigns digits 0 through 9 to both edges.
At the end of the 1st quarter, halftime, 3rd quarter, and final, the winning square is determined by the last digit of each team’s score.
Players accept an invite, open the pool, and click open squares to claim them. Their boxes update automatically and their amount owed is tracked from the box price.
Before the board is finalized, players can release one of their own boxes by clicking it again.
Use Create Pool to choose the date, game, price per box, quarter payouts, and notes. Once the pool is ready, the host can share an invite link or send email invites.
When every square is filled, the host finalizes the board to lock in team positions and digits.
Use Pool Tracker if you already have a paper board. Enter the teams, outside digits, payouts, and player names, then save the board and track the live game on screen.
Hosts can generate a code link or send invites by email. The pool page also tracks who has paid, who still owes, and any rules or payment details saved in the notes section.
The site highlights the live square, shows the matchup score, and keeps quarter winners visible beside chat. Players can talk in the pool chat and set a sports-themed avatar from the profile page.
